IN PICTURES: The Dalai Lama in Prague

Jan Zápotocký and Zuzana Vokurková asked the Dalai Lama to give their daughter Šárka a Tibetan name. His Holiness chose Tändzin Jangdön.
Upon his arrival to Prague's Congress Center, the Dalai Lama was greeted by Prague Mayor Pavel Bém who wore a badge bearing a Tibetan flag on his shirt. The public talk in the Congress Center was held under the auspices of Prague Mayor.

Prague - Only two years passed and Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate the Dalai Lama is visiting Prague again. On Sunday His Holiness delivered a public address in Prague's Congress Center and had a private meeting with Czech PM Topolánek. On Monday 1 December he is meeting the Friends of Tibet Group of the Czech Parliament as well as former Czech President Václav Havel. It was Havel who - together with Forum 2000 Foundation - invited him to the country.
