Environmental concerns over Polish land solution
One of the chosen localities is within the territory of the Kunratice municipality in the northern part of the Jizerské mountains. What is visible on the horizon is a gigantic dumping hopper of the brown coal mine Turów located on the opposite side of the border. The hill is now more than 200 meters high.
Kunratice has roughly 380 citizens. However, at noon on work days it looks deserted, because most of the locals commute to work in factories in Frýdlant or Liberec.
Currently, there is a forest growing on the Czech side of the border (upper photo). On the other side is a dumping hopper subjected to erosion the young birches are unable to stop (lower photo).

Recently, their position was backed by the Commissioner of the Liberec region.
